Sadly, one of the most colourful characters of the village has just passed away. Bramble had spent nearly 16 years brightening peoples lives and was a most accomplished spaniel. Widely travelled, she could count to10 and bark in Neapolitan.
She had a firm recognition of human intentions - if they threw something away, they did not want to have whatever it was continually returned to them. She would go to where the item had landed, check it was indeed the item that the human had thrown, and the leave it there!
She loved long grass and snow and would bark with joy whenever she went to the meadow where this photograph was taken.
